Life & Natural History: Males have been collected from July to November and females from May to November. Food consists of ants and other spiders. Egg sacs have been collected in July and September. Members of this species are aggressive and will attack anything approaching the entrance of their retreats.

Details About Males

Description: Carapace thoracic region edged with pale orange yellow and its center mottled and streaked light brown. Cephalic region dark brown to yellow from clypeus to dorsal, posterior end. Legs darkened distally and much the same as edge of thoracic region of carapace. May also have pale annulations on dorsal sides from patellae to tips. Chelicerae dark brown and may be darker than sternum. Opisthosoma light brown ventrally, darkened dorsally to black.
